Chicago Bears keys to an upset of Green Bay Packers

When the Bears last saw the Green Bay Packers, they had little hope of pulling off an upset. This was the Packers defense the analysts anticipated as top 10 or top 5, and dominant. It was the double-edged running game of Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon and, of course, it was the quarterback who owns the Bears, Aaron Rodgers. The receiver corps was different without Davante Adams but Rodgers made it work and the Bears didn’t need have much to answer with as Justin Fields hadn’t yet begun to terrorize defenses with his running. The three-headed Bears rushing attack hadn’t formed. Fast forward to now and much is different. The…

Argentina vs. Saudi Arabia score: World Cup stunner as Lionel Messi and team go down in massive Group C upset

Saudi Arabia earned themselves a place in World Cup history with one of the great shock wins in the tournament’s 92 year history, overturning an early deficit to stun Argentina and win 2-1 at the Lusail Stadium. No team had beaten Lionel Scaloni’s side since Brazil more than three years ago but this stunning triumph was no less than the Saudis deserved for an energetic, front-footed performance that saw their high press utterly rock one of the pre-tournament favorites before a rock solid defense of Mohamed Al-Owais and the imperious Hassan Tambakti guided their side to three points. Meteorologist goes crazy on air after learning of Texas A&M’s upset of Alabama

The Texas A&M Aggies pulled off the biggest upset of the 2021 college football season Saturday night when they knocked off the No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas. Texas A&M kicked a field goal as time expired to win the game by a score of 41-38. One Texas A&M fan who happens to be a meteorologist for WQAD in Illinois could not contain her excitement as she learned of the upset while giving a live weather report. Prior to giving the report, Effrage Davis talked about how close the game was before the Aggies eventually pulled off the win. Check out…

2021 NFL Week 1 Picks, Odds: Raiders stun Ravens, Cardinals upset Titans, Bills crush Steelers

Football! It’s back, it’s real and it’s spectacular. While there’s still a pandemic in the background, it feels vastly different from a year ago, when football legitimately could have just disappeared. Now we have fans in the stands and it could present some interesting betting opportunities — at the very least it’s going to create wildly different game situations for these players. After a year of being able to easily communicate in empty stadiums, quarterbacks now will have to adjust to mildly different environments. If you don’t believe me, watch this goosebumps-inducing video of Virginia Tech blasting “Enter Sandman” ahead of its huge upset of North Carolina last Friday night. …

Tough and rugged, Oregon drags Pac-12 back onto national scene with stunning upset at Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The signs were everywhere. No. 12 Oregon was not only back but back in your face. In those heady, wonderful, giddy moments following the Ducks’ 35-28 win over No. 5 Ohio State, coach Mario Cristobal ordered his left tackle Dawson Jaramillo to roll up his left sleeve as the hulking 300-pound sophomore headed to the bus.  On the kid’s bicep was the logo for the 80s hair band Poison. Inside Jaramillo’s forearm was one of the everlasting lyrics of this or any age. “It’s only rock and roll, but I like it.” All mullet and sweat, Jaramillo smiled.  “That’s what development gets you,” Cristobal said. He wasn’t…
