    Story Links PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown track and field programs have announced their schedules for the upcoming 2022-23 indoor seasons, which are set to begin the first weekend of December. The schedule consists of 13 meets leading up to the Ivy League Heps at the end of February.   The Bears first meet will take place at the Olney-Margolies Athletic Center (OMAC) when Brown hosts the annual Alden Invitational on Saturday, December 3 beginning at 10 a.m. The Bears will also send athletes to the URI Multi-Meet on December 9 and the Beacon Invite at UMass Boston on December 10 before a month-long break for the…

    Virginia Tech Releases 2023 Indoor Track and Field Schedule

    BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech Track & Field head coach Dave Cianelli has announced the 2023 indoor schedule. The Hokies will compete at 10 meets throughout the regular season, hosting four home meets at Rector Field House.  The Hokies will kick off the new season with two consecutive home weekend meets in Blacksburg, starting with the Virginia Tech Invitational on January 13-14 followed by the Hokie Invitational on January 20-21.   After the first two home meets, the program will travel to Louisville, Ky. to compete at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational on January 27-28.     The new indoor track and field facility at the University of Kentucky will be called the Jim Green Indoor Track and Field Center, named for Jim Green, the first African American student-athlete at Kentucky and in the Southeastern Conference to win NCAA and SEC Championships.     Story Links INDIANAPOLIS, IN (July 14, 2022) — Rules providing consistency and guidance to meet referees were among focal points addressed in the eight rules changes for the 2023 high school track and field and cross country seasons. Two of the most notable changes were made to Rule 3-4-3, defining specific case book guidelines, and the introduction of Rule 9, which specifically addresses rules for indoor track and field.     Madison girls win indoor track and field meet | Sports

    With 13 different team members finishing in the top three of events, the Madison Warhawks won a recent girls Concorde District indoor track and field meet, scoring 102 points. Westfield was second with 94. Bethany Riddle in the shot put (26-feet, 7-inches), Hannah Petersen in the pole vault (7-3) and Mary Byrne in the 3,200-meters (11:17.99) were the team’s three winners of events.
