MLB rumors: Justin Verlander wants three years, Astros don’t; Dodgers may shift infield to fit star shortstop
We’re now into December, and the Winter Meetings are just around the bend. In terms of free agents and trade candidates, all the major names remain on the board, but that could change in the coming days. Given that assumed momentum, it’s time to check in on the daily supply of MLB rumors. Let’s do that now. Astros’ reluctance may open up Verlander market It figures that the incumbent Houston Astros would have the edge when it comes to signing free agent ace and reigning AL Cy Young winner Justin Verlander, but Jon Heyman writes that the Astros’ reluctance to offer the 39-year-old a third guaranteed year may be allowing…

‘Star Wars’ Games Will Release Biannually
A new report indicates that Disney wants to up their annual ante on Star Wars gaming, with each year having one AAA title and one smaller-scale game. In 2013, it was anticipated that Electronic Arts would become a powerhouse on the gaming front for Lucasfilm’s signature franchise for their ten-year exclusivity deal, but unfortunately for Star Wars fans, the deal resulted in a number of cancelled projects as the company’s focus was on in-house games despite the release of two Battlefront titles, Squadrons, and Jedi: Fallen Order, alongside various mobile offerings. With the exclusivity part of the contract now expiring and Star Wars games being open to an abundance…

2022 NFL preseason Week 2, one thing we learned about each team: Cowboys find special teams star
We are now through two weeks of the 2022 NFL preseason, and I’m sure by this point we are all ready for meaningful football. Congrats to the Baltimore Ravens, as their exhibition dynasty has been established. But now, I’m just ready to see Lamar Jackson take the field for a potential bounce-back season. There’s no doubt we learned from Week 2. The Buffalo Bills look incredibly deep, a couple veteran players may be on the verge of losing their jobs to rookies and we also unfortunately saw a couple of season-ending injuries. It’s fair to wonder how much we can actually gather from exhibition football, and more preseason takes fare…

Those video game projects join a long list of new movies, TV shows, books, and comics set in George Lucas’ galaxy far, far away, as Lucasfilm Games works to rebuild Star Wars’ presence in games. Many of those games are years away, as evidenced by the number of Star Wars logos and untitled projects you’ll see below. Beyond recent releases…

Deshaun Watson trade grades: Texans get ‘A’ for historic haul while Browns land star QB
Deshaun Watson has a new home in the NFL. After days of deliberation and meeting with several prospective teams, the now-former Texans quarterback decided to waive his no-trade clause on Friday to join the Cleveland Browns. While any Watson trade was going to be seismic, this decision was a particularly stunning move as the Browns were initially eliminated from contention on Thursday only to be thrust back in at the midnight hour. After Watson announced where he wanted to go, the Texans and Browns took it the rest of the way to complete the deal that is one of the biggest in league history. Houston sent Watson and a 2024…
