    Anthem Country Club already had partially closed its golf course to renovate the greens when officials realized they needed to take even larger steps in light of the Southern Nevada Water Authority’s proposed new regulations. So Anthem’s board of directors opted to close the entire course and get in compliance.     Nevada Sports Net to air 12 of the 20 Mountain West Tournament games

    Nevada Sport Net will broadcast 12 of the 20 Mountain West Tournament men’s and women’s basketball games next week. NSN will air each of the first-round, quarterfinal and semifinal matchups in the women’s tournament and all three of the first-round games on the men’s side. That includes the Wolf Pack women taking on Air Force on Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals and the Nevada men playing New Mexico at 11 a.m. Wednesday in a first-round matchup.     Nevada QB Carson Strong declares for NFL draft, won’t play bowl game

    Quarterback Carson Strong has played his final game at Nevada. Strong said in a social media post Tuesday evening that he would skip the Wolf Pack’s bowl game later this month. He will instead declare for the NFL draft, despite having up to two seasons of eligibility remaining at Nevada.     Nevada-San Francisco game Thursday night to air on Nevada Sports Net

    The Nevada basketball team’s road game at San Francisco on Thursday night will air on Nevada Sports Net. The Wolf Pack plays at War Memorial Gym at the Sobrato Center in its fourth game of the season. NSN will pick up the Stadium broadcast, with a 7:30 p.m. tipoff scheduled. This is a rematch of last year’s game between the teams, an 85-60 USF win at Lawlor Events Center.
