    Grades for every MLB team’s pre-lockout moves: Mets, Rangers top of the class; silent Yankees get ‘F’

    USATSI Last week, Major League Baseball’s 30 team owners voted unanimously to lock out the players. The MLB offseason has, as a result, come to a pause. Teams are not permitted to sign free agents, or to trade players who are part of the union during the work stoppage. (Minor-league players can still be traded.) It could be some time, then, until the fates of Carlos Correa, Freddie Freeman, and the other top remaining free agents are revealed — to say nothing of the players, like Matt Olson and Sonny Gray, who could be traded before spring training.
