    Grant helps Fredonia FD get new air packs | News, Sports, Jobs

    Submitted photo The Fredonia Fire Department has purchased this new breathing equipment with a grant. On Friday, Nov. 18, the Fredonia Fire Department put its new Scott X3 Pro SCBA air packs into service. The decision to go with this newest technology from Scott was concluded after an in-depth technical review and field evaluation through the joint effort of both career staff and volunteer members. The acquisition of the 27 units, accompanied by spare cylinders and face-pieces, was possible through an Assistance to Firefighters Grant of $253,000 from FEMA.
