    The World Games 2022 has started! A magnificent opening ceremony in Birmingham, Alabama, USA on 7 July saw music, dancing and displays performed for sports fans at the sold out Protective Stadium.     The World Games Day 2 Competitions: Sumo Wrestling, Softball, Air Sports begin

    twg2022.com Three more sports start today (July 9): Sumo wrestling, Softball, and Air Sports with the disciplines Drone Racing and Parachuting Canopy Piloting. And all of the sports held on Friday will be in action again today. In all, 32 sets of gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded today! Finswimming and Karate conclude their competitions today. In Finswimming at the Crossplex Natatorium, a further 8 classes will compete for medals, 6 Individual and 2 Relay.     TWG2022: Day 1 overview of air sports competitions

    On Saturday 9 July at The World Games 2022, round 1 of the canopy piloting competition took place although the drone racing qualifications were unfortunately interrupted due to rain. There are 34 athletes competing in the canopy piloting, representing 16 countries: Australia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, New Zealand, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, USA and Ukraine.  In drone racing, 31 pilots are participating, from 20 countries: Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, China, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Chinese Taipei and USA.  Canopy Piloting Round 1 of the Canopy Piloting saw the four…
