Chicago Bears keys to an upset of Green Bay Packers

When the Bears last saw the Green Bay Packers, they had little hope of pulling off an upset. This was the Packers defense the analysts anticipated as top 10 or top 5, and dominant. It was the double-edged running game of Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon and, of course, it was the quarterback who owns the Bears, Aaron Rodgers. The receiver corps was different without Davante Adams but Rodgers made it work and the Bears didn’t need have much to answer with as Justin Fields hadn’t yet begun to terrorize defenses with his running. The three-headed Bears rushing attack hadn’t formed. Fast forward to now and much is different. The…

Chicago Mount Rushmore of Sports: Michael Jordan, Walter Payton, Ernie Banks, Bobby Hull voted best of the best

The SN Rushmore project named four pro athletes from the 13 cities that have had at least four of the following five leagues represented for at least 20 years – NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, WNBA. While there were no hard-and-fast rules pertaining to the athletes selected, our panel of experts considered individual resumes, team success and legacy within the sports landscape of each city. Multiple players from the same franchise were allowed, and not every franchise needed to be represented. All sports fans have an opinion on this topic. This is ours. Some cities in our Mt. Rushmore series produced heated debates on which athletes should be included, creeping into…

Chicago Bears Predicted To Win One Game In 2022

The Chicago Bears aren’t going to be a contender this year. No self-respecting fan believes that. Yet to hear so many experts predict the team will finish as maybe the worst in the NFL feels a bit over the top. They’ve already been projected to contend for the #1 overall pick in the 2023 draft by two different sources. Belief is widespread that new GM Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus are sacrificing this year to improve their long-term prospects. The Bears already have $90+ million in salary cap space coming their way next off-season. A bad record in 2022 would also secure them a top 5 draft pick.…

Chicago Bears fans love the draft season. It’s one of their most treasured times of the year. Many of them dabble in the process, evaluating prospects coming out of college and determining which ones they like best. These Chicago Bears Are On The Hot Seat Going Into 2022

One thing is undeniable about football. When regimes change, the roster is going to change with it. Ryan Poles didn’t like what he saw from the Chicago Bears when he took over as GM. He even told George McCaskey as much to his face. It isn’t hard to predict what will come next when that happens. This roster might look somewhat familiar right now, but by 2023 there is a strong probability it will be unrecognizable. This upcoming 2022 season will be vital for many mainstays. Think of it as an audition of sorts. The old directors that hired them are gone. Now the new directors are thinking about re-casting.…
