Layout of VCU’s 42-acre athletics village is becoming clear

The planning for Virginia Commonwealth University’s 42-acre athletics village is nearing completion. The university expects to begin demolition of the already-standing buildings and construction next year.

Similar to an Olympic village, the complex will house a tennis facility and soccer stadium on the north end, near Interstate 95. The middle parcel will hold an indoor track, and the southern parcels will be converted into outdoor track and field and practice soccer fields.

RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Eight individuals will be elected to the Manhattan College Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2022, and two outstanding teams have been selected for special recognition. The 43rd annual induction ceremony and dinner will take place on Saturday, Nov. 12.

Track & Field Ready for 2022 World Athletics Championships in Oregon

EUGENE, Ore. – Three Ole Miss track & field greats will represent their home countries at the 2022 World Athletics Outdoor Championships, which begin Friday at Oregon’s Hayward Field and runs through July 24. This is the first time the World Championship meet has ever been held on U.S. soil.

Titan Athletics previews new Olympic-size pool | Sports

Cal State Fullerton Athletics previewed the new Olympic-sized pool that will be home to future CSUF water sports. Staff and CSUF alumni gathered on Sunday for a sneak peek of the 53-meter pool that is scheduled to open this May.

CSUF Director of Athletics,Jim Donovan said the previous pool was only half the size of the new pool, at 25-meters, and had a severe leakage of several thousand gallons per day.
