Academy Sports expands to Panama City, its 13th store in Florida
PANAMA CITY — National sporting goods chain Academy Sports + Outdoors is on track to open its first Panama City store next week, and store managers plan a weekend filled with festivities. Academy Sports is hosting a three-day grand opening celebration July 29-31 full of limited-time deals at the new store, located at 820 W. 23rd St., the former site of Hobby Lobby. A new Ghostbusters game from the developer of Friday the 13th: The Game and Predator: Hunting Grounds is coming to consoles and PC later this year. On Tuesday, developer Illfonic announced Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, an all-ages take on its brand of four-versus-one asymmetric multiplayer games, where you play as your own original Ghostbusters team — or take on the role of a ghost hellbent on wreaking haunted havoc.
