In order to benefit more from the sea in Ordu, Metropolitan Mayor Dr. The Durgun Water Sports Center, which started its activities with the initiatives of Mehmet Hilmi Güler, is advancing rapidly.

Work continues in the project, which was implemented in an area of ​​1.100 meters in Gülyalı district. The Metropolitan Municipality aims to bring Ordu to a position to host international competitions in water sports by putting into service the project where many departments work together.

The Stagnant Water Sports Center, built next to Ordu-Giresun Airport, will provide a great advantage to those who come to Ordu for water sports with its location. Athletes, trainers, referees and sports fans who come to Ordu by air will be able to reach the facility in minutes without wasting any time.

FULLY EQUIPPED FACILITY

Within the scope of the project, a total of 400 people tribune, 1 protocol lodge, 1 race finish observation tower with photo finish camera, 6 portable floating docks, 100-vehicle spectator parking area, 20-vehicle trailer parking area, 300 meters boathouse, 400 meters sales and promotion area, 1.142 meters of vehicle and bicycle path, a crossing bridge over the creek exit and accommodation area for referees and athletes will be created.
