Hamilton College’s Joseph Simeone ’26 finished first in the men’s 3,000-meter run at the 2022 Utica University Track & Field Holiday Classic at the Hutton Sports and Recreation Center on Saturday.
 
Simeone recorded a winning time of 9:19.63. Andrew Richardson ’26 was runner-up in the 600-meter run in 1:26.41, Brogan Deem-Ranzetta ’24 ended up third with a time of 1:28.26, and Benjamin Ingram ’25 landed in fifth place in 1:28.37.
 
Rasikh Shaukat ’25 grabbed third place in the 300-meter dash with a time of 38.15 seconds, and Phillip Le ’24 finished right behind Shaukat in 38.29 seconds. Josh Harmsen ’23 was 17th out of 52 athletes in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.47 seconds.
 
Ricaldo Lewis ’26 qualified for the finals of the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.27 seconds in the preliminary heats. Lewis finished sixth in the final in 7.30 seconds. Edwin Mensah-Boateng ’25 was ninth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.39 seconds.
 
Michael Fasano ’25 led the field athletes as he finished 10th in the shot put with a distance of 12.53 meters (41 feet, 1 inch).
 
The Continentals are off for finals and the holidays before they return to Utica for the Pioneers’ Winter Opener on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023.
