PlayStation fans have a busy week ahead of them as five new games are coming to the PS4 and PS5 this week.
These games cater to fans who enjoy different genres, from racing simulators to role-playing, one of these games are sure to catch your interest and are definitely worth picking up.
The games are released throughout the week so make sure to mark the dates in your calendar so you can pick them the moment they’re released.
Prices for most of these games have not been announced, although it’s likely they’ll be listed as brand-new titles so you might have to put a bit of money aside to grab them- these games will be on the PlayStation Store and won’t be part of the free titles that come with a PS Plus subscription.
With that out the way, here are five games coming to the PS4 and PS5 this week.
Greak: Memories of Azur – Tuesday, August 17
Memories of Azur is a side-scrolling adventure game that was designed with beautiful hand-drawn animations.
Players will take on the role of three siblings, Greak, Adara, and Raydel who must escape the invasion of a foreign enemy in their land.
Each sibling has unique abilities that open different ways of tackling situations- as you progress through the game, you will reunite the siblings who must work together to make it to an airship that will allow them to escape.
Greak: Memories of Azur will be available on PS4 and PS5.
Tetris Effect: Connected – Wednesday, August 18
One of the oldest and best-selling games of all time, Tetris is a familiar name even among people that don’t play games often.
Tetris Effect: Connected has found a way to revamp the series and make it feel fresher than ever.
The game adds plenty of new stages and themes that players must progress through as they are introduced to new challenges and a meta-game levelling system.
While already available on PS4 right now, with support for the PSVR, it will soon be available for the PS5 as well on Wednesday.
RiMS Racing – Thursday, August 19
Hailing itself as the ‘first motorbike simulation that combines a realistic racing challenge with engineering and mechanics’, RiMS allow players to ride the world’s most powerful motorbikes on a track.
RiMS features a surprisingly in-depth mechanical engineering system that gives players the opportunity to customise their bikes to beat the competition as they travel some of the world’s most iconic tracks- Silverstone, Laguna Seca, Suzuka, Nürburgring, and Paul Ricard are all featured.
RiMS Racing will be available on the PS4 and PS5.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut – Friday, August 20
The Director’s Cut of Ghost of Tsushima has been teased quite heavily since its official announcement last month.
The stealth-heavy action game includes new content not featured in the original game, including new side-story quests, enemy types, and even a Director’s Commentary which features a Japanese historian who compares features in the game to real life.
As players explore the brand new Iki island, they will be able to discover some hidden wonders never before seen in Ghost of Tsushima.
The game will be available on PS4 and PS5
Madden 22 – Friday, August 20
The iconic American football game is introducing its newest edition this week as players can take control of their favourite NFL athletes.
Madden 22 will feature improved management systems, skill tree progression, and a comprehensive weekly game strategy, according to EA who has previously been criticised for not regularly updating their Madden games after release.
A brand new feature EA will introduce to the series is the ‘home field advantage’ which provides teams playing in their home stadium a unique ability once enough momentum credit is built up by the player.
Madden 22 will be available on PS4 and PS5.
